However, like any software, users may encounter issues ranging from connectivity problems to browser crashes. Knowing how to effectively report these problems ensures they can be addressed promptly, improving your browsing experience. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to report a problem with Opera, whether you're seeking technical support or providing feedback to the developers.
How Do I Report a Problem with Opera?
1. Identify the Issue Clearly
Before reporting a problem, it's essential to understand what exactly is happening. Clear identification of the issue helps support teams diagnose and resolve it efficiently. Here are some tips:
- Note the error message: If any error messages appear, write them down or take a screenshot.
- Describe the problem: Be specific about what isn't working, such as pages not loading, extensions malfunctioning, or crashes occurring.
- Check for patterns: Determine if the problem occurs on specific websites or during certain activities.
- Record your browser version: Go to Menu > Help > About Opera to find your version number.

I am extremely disappointed with Opera Sync.
I had synchronization enabled, and I expected that my data and settings would be safely stored and could be restored at any time. However, after losing my browser data, I was unable to recover anything — my settings, configurations, and other important data were completely lost.
This is unacceptable. A feature called “synchronization” should not behave like this. Users reasonably expect it to work as a backup, or at least to provide a reliable way to restore their data.
Because of this issue, I have lost a significant amount of time and important personal setup. This has completely undermined my trust in Opera as a browser.
I strongly urge you to:
Clearly inform users that Opera Sync is not a backup solution
Improve data recovery and synchronization reliability
Consider adding proper backup and restore functionality
At this point, I am considering switching to another browser due to this experience.
I hope you take this issue seriously and improve your product.
